What do our workshop clients say about us?  Here are a few of the most recent reviews taken from our Trip Advisor listing, where we are proud to maintain a 5-star rating.

I had the true pleasure of spending a day with Bret on a workshop last Friday (Oct 11). The parks had been closed by our government, but Bret was open. He was open to anything, but was proactive in taking me on a tour of the Moab area that I won’t forget. This workshop consisted of a pick up at my hotel about an hour before sunrise, a drive to our first site, some valuable coaching, and wonderful vibes and light and sights to start the day. In all, we visited 7 or so locations, including a climb into the La Sal mountains where we enjoyed a fresh 6-inch snowfall by a mountain lake with aspens in full color. We capped the day with a sunset shot at Castle Canyon. With that said, I cannot refrain from letting you know what a wonderful person Bret and his wife, Melissa, are, because I had an unfortunate problem: I lost a memory card during the trip that contained almost all of the photos of that day. After returning to Chicago, when I asked Bret to check his jeep, he did, but they also drove the 35 miles back to that sunset shot site at Castle Canyon, where I had changed cards, and they searched the area, with no luck. If anything could have soothed my disappointment and dismay, it was that act. But even if you don’t have a disaster, you’ll appreciate Bret’s approach to the workshop: it’s not about him, it’s about you. He didn’t take pictures himself, but he observed and offered whatever suggestions that were relavent and welcome. Highly recommended.

I recently attended an Arches and Canyonland photo workshop with Bret and Andy Biggs. The combination of his knowledge of the area, his photographic expertise, and his backpacking skills made for an incredible experience. He put us in the right place at the right time for some spectacular photos. Bret is a very personable guide and trip leader.

I went on a half day photography tour with Bret. I reached out to him only a day before - he was very flexible and willing to help me out with a tripod (much appreciated!). Bret is super knowledgeable about the Moab area that allowed me to catch the best very light that the early morning hours can offer.
Besides being a wonderfully gifted photographer, Bret is also an outstanding instructor. His pleasant, laid-back personality and valuable technical insights greatly helped me to make the most of this once-in-a-life trip. I truly hope to attend one of his workshops in the near future.
Whatever your photographic needs are, Bret is surely your very best choice in the Moab area.
